Join us on this excursion to visit a sugar cane plantation and learn about the process of making panela.

Guaduas Sugar Cane Plantation Tour

At 9 am we'll meet at Calle 4 in Guaduas and board a minibus to discover the sugar cane tradition in Colombia.

We'll first stop at a scenic lake near Guaduas. You can enjoy the view and take a dip if desired.

Then, we'll head to a sugar cane plantation. You will be greeted by the fragrance of the plants and learn how they are sown and maintained.

During the excursion, we'll observe how sugar cane is transformed into panela, a typical sweet in Latin America. A trapiche will be on display, showcasing how the juice is extracted from the sugar cane.

The visit concludes with a traditional lunch featuring soup and a meat dish with rice, salad, and fiambre, along with a lemonade.

After lunch, we will end the excursion at 2 pm at the starting point.
