Guaduas Tour
At your chosen time, we will meet at Calle 4 to explore the history and main monuments of Guaduas. The tour will include both walking and minibus rides to provide a comprehensive view of the town.
We will journey back to the year 1572 to learn about Guaduas' founding and its connection to the Crown of Spain. The town was a key crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, highlighted by the ruins of the old Camino Real.
During the tour, we will visit significant locations such as Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, the Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, a leader of the comuneros rebellion. We will discuss this revolt while exploring the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, home of the Colombian independence heroine known as 'La Pola'.
The tour will also include a visit to the convent of La Soledad, established in 1610, which served as a spiritual hub for two centuries, attracting notable visitors like Simón Bolívar.
After three hours of sightseeing, we will conclude the tour back at the starting point.
