Guaduas Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Calle 4 to explore the history and main monuments of Guaduas. The tour will combine walking and minibus rides for an overview of the town.
We'll travel back to the year 1572 to learn how Guaduas was founded and its connections to the Crown of Spain. The town was an important crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, and we'll see the ruins of the old Camino Real.
During the tour, we will visit iconic spots such as the Constitution Square, Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. We will also explore the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where the heroine of Colombian independence known as 'La Pola' lived.
The tour will include a visit to the convent of La Soledad, established in 1610, which was the center of spiritual life in the region for two centuries. Simón Bolívar is noted among the prominent pilgrims who visited this place of worship.
After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour of Guaduas, returning to the starting point.
