Guaduas Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Calle 4 to delve into the history and main monuments of Guaduas. During the tour, we'll combine walking and minibus rides to explore the town.
We'll travel back to the year 1572 to discover how Guaduas was founded and its connections to the Crown of Spain. This town was an important crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, evident in the ruins of the old Camino Real.
As we walk through Guaduas, we'll see notable spots such as Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, the Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, a leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. Details of this historic revolt will be shared as we explore the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where the heroine of Colombian independence known as 'La Pola' lived.
The tour will then take us to the convent of La Soledad, erected in 1610, which became a center of spiritual life for two centuries. Among the significant pilgrims who visited is Simón Bolívar.
After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour of Guaduas upon returning to the starting point.
