Guaduas Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Calle 4 to delve into the history and main monuments of Guaduas. The tour combines walking and minibus rides to provide an overview of the town.
We'll explore the year 1572 to learn about the founding of Guaduas and its connection to the Crown of Spain. This town was an important crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, as evidenced by the ruins of the old Camino Real.
During our walk through Guaduas, we'll visit notable locations such as the Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, the Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. We'll discuss the historic revolt and visit the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where 'La Pola' lived.
The tour also includes a visit to the convent of La Soledad, established in 1610, which was a center of spiritual life for two centuries, attracting notable pilgrims such as Simón Bolívar.
After three hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude the tour of Guaduas back at the starting point.
