Guaduas Tour

This tour of Guaduas explores the main monuments of this Colombian Heritage Town. Starting at Calle 4, we will dive into the history and key landmarks of Guaduas. Combining walking and minibus rides, we will get an overview of the entire town.

Traveling back to the year 1572, we will learn about Guaduas' foundation and its ties to the Crown of Spain. Discovering its role as a crucial crossing point between Bogotá and Honda, we will see the ruins of the old Camino Real.

Exploring Guaduas, we will visit Constitution Square, the Cathedral of San Miguel Arcángel, Casa Consistorial, and the monument to Galán, a leader of the 'comuneros' rebellion. Learn about the historic revolt as we visit the Policarpa Salavarrieta House, where the Colombian independence heroine 'La Pola' lived.

The tour continues to the convent of La Soledad, built in 1610 and a center of spiritual life for two centuries. Notable pilgrims, including Simón Bolívar, visited this place of worship.

After three hours of sightseeing, the tour concludes back at the starting point.
