For those interested in sport and nature, this hiking route to the Salto de Versalles and Capira Stone is suitable. The tour begins at Calle 4 in Guaduas, where participants will meet at a chosen time to embark on the hike through this Colombian Heritage Village.
The hike commences by crossing Guaduas, heading north along paths with rich vegetation until reaching the Salto de Versalles waterfall, which stands 42 meters high. Participants will have time to rest and learn about the area's history, including a tale involving two members of the Panche tribe.
Following the visit to the waterfall, the group will continue to the Capira Stone viewpoint. This location offers views of the Magdalena River valley, as well as the Tolima, Ruiz, and Santa Isabel mountains. On clear days, visibility may extend to the town of Honda, which has historical ties to Guaduas.
The tour concludes after approximately three hours of walking, returning to the original meeting point.
