We will pick you up from your hotel at the arranged time to kick off this hill walking excursion through the forests of Guanajuato. The various paths available will enable you to explore a distinctive aspect of the natural beauty of inland Mexico.



Depending on the time of year, we will select one of three specific areas around Guanajuato for our adventure. One possible location is La Bufa Hill, which boasts a rich assortment of flora. As we traverse this route, we’ll relish the peaceful surroundings of the forest, far removed from the city’s commotion.



If we choose to explore the Sierra de Santa Rosa, we’ll uncover additional treasures in this magnificent landscape. As we walk along the trails, we may encounter the melodic calls of the chuïnes, small blue birds reminiscent of sparrows. The holm oak forest will provide a backdrop for insights into the mining history of the region and the historic trails once used for transportation.



Our hike will also include educational moments about the diverse tree species found here, such as willow trees, capulines, wild olive trees, ash trees, mesquites, colorines, and palo blancos. It’s fascinating to know that this reservoir receives water from three rivers: the Guanajuato, Chapín, and Trinidad.



After three hours of exploration and hiking, we will conclude our tour by returning to your hotel.
