Guanajuato Hiking Tour

La Bufa Hill, the Sierra de Santa Rosa, and the Presa de la Purísima are three areas for hill walking in Guanajuato.

Description

We will collect you from your hotel at the scheduled time to begin this hill walking tour through the forests of Guanajuato. The tour will allow you to experience the nature of inland Mexico through various hiking routes.

Depending on the season, we will hike in one of three areas. A potential location is La Bufa Hill, where we will enjoy a variety of flora. On this route, you will experience the tranquillity of the forest away from the city's bustle.

If we visit the Sierra de Santa Rosa, we will explore richer diversity. Trails will let us observe chuïnes, small blue birds similar to sparrows, and a holm oak forest where we will discuss the area's mining history and historical transport paths.

We will learn about local tree species including willow, capuline, wild olive, ash, mesquite, colorin, and palo blanco. The water from three rivers flows into this reservoir: Guanajuato, Chapín, and Trinidad.

The tour concludes back at your hotel after three hours of hiking.
