Guanajuato Hiking Tour

La Bufa Hill, the Sierra de Santa Rosa, and the Presa de la Purísima are key locations for hill walking in Guanajuato.

Description

At the designated time, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the hill walking tour through the forests of Guanajuato. You will experience various routes that highlight the nature of inland Mexico.

Depending on the season, we will hike in one of the three areas on the outskirts of Guanajuato, including La Bufa Hill, known for its diverse flora. This route offers a tranquil forest experience, away from city noise.

When exploring the Sierra de Santa Rosa, we will encounter rich biodiversity, including trails where chuïnes and other bird species can be heard. We will view the holm oak tree forest and learn about the area's mining history and transportation paths.

Throughout the hike, we will identify various trees such as willows, capulines, wild olive trees, ash trees, mesquites, colorines, and palo blancos. Additionally, discover that water from three rivers, the Guanajuato, Chapín, and Trinidad, feeds into the reservoir.

This tour concludes with a return to the hotels after 3 hours of hiking.
