Guanajuato Hiking Tour

La Bufa Hill, the Sierra de Santa Rosa, and the Presa de la Purísima are three areas for hill walking near Guanajuato.

Description

We will collect you from your hotel at the scheduled time to start the hill walking tour through the forests of Guanajuato. This experience offers various routes to explore the nature of inland Mexico.

Depending on the season, we will hike in one of the three areas. One option is La Bufa Hill, known for its diverse flowers and trees, providing a peaceful forest experience away from city life.

If we visit the Sierra de Santa Rosa, we will explore trails where we can observe chuïnes, small blue birds similar to sparrows, and a holm oak forest while learning about the area's mining history and its transport routes.

Participants will learn about local trees, including willow, capulines, wild olive, ash, mesquite, colorines, and palo blancos. Notably, water from the Guanajuato, Chapín, and Trinidad rivers supplies this reservoir.

The hiking tour will conclude back at the hotels after three hours of walking.
