Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Guanajuato and head south towards La Purisima Dam, with a drive of about one hour.

Upon arrival, we'll review the safety rules and provide basic paddling instructions. Then, we will go kayaking!

We'll begin sailing on La Purisima Dam, a notable recreational area in Guanajuato. As we navigate, we'll share the history of the region.

Historically, the locality of El Zangarro was situated here. However, construction of the dam in the 1950s led to the relocation of its inhabitants due to the area sinking. The temple of the Virgen de los Dolores from that era remains visible, and we will approach it by kayak.

After returning to the mainland, we will board a minibus and conclude the tour, dropping you off at the Guanajuato Central Bus Terminal after approximately 3 to 4 hours of activity.
