Description

At the indicated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Guanajuato and head south towards La Purisima Dam. The drive will take about an hour.

Once we've reached our destination, we'll go over the safety rules together and give you basic advice on how to paddle correctly on board the kayaks. After that, we'll move on to the most fun part: everyone into the water!

We'll start sailing along La Purisima Dam, one of the most famous recreational areas of Guanajuato. While we admire the landscape around us, we'll tell you about the history of this land.

In the past, the locality of El Zangarro used to be located here. However, with the construction of the dam in the 1950s, its inhabitants had to move due to the sinking of the area. The temple of the Virgen de los Dolores from that period can still be seen, which we will approach in kayaks.

Once we arrive back on the mainland, we'll board the minibus and finish the tour, leaving you at the Guanajuato Central Bus Terminal after 3 to 4 hours of activity.
