Description

We will collect you from your hotel in Guanajuato at the scheduled time and journey southward to La Purisima Dam. This scenic drive lasts approximately one hour.

Upon arrival, a briefing on safety protocols will be conducted, along with essential paddling techniques to ensure an enjoyable experience on the water. Soon after, it's time to dive into the excitement—everyone will be out on the water!

As we glide across La Purisima Dam, renowned as one of the premier recreational sites in Guanajuato, you’ll have the opportunity to take in the stunning surroundings while we share the fascinating history of the region.

This area was once home to the village of El Zangarro, which relocated following the dam’s construction in the 1950s due to the area becoming submerged. Notably, we'll navigate close to the temple of Virgen de los Dolores, a relic that remains visible from that era—an intriguing aspect of the journey!

After returning to shore, we will board the minibus to conclude our tour by dropping you off at the Guanajuato Central Bus Terminal, with a total duration of 3 to 4 hours of engaging activities.
