Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Praça Luís de Camões Square to be taken to the sheep farm. Once there, we'll meet with a shepherd who will show us how he cares for the animals, and you can try herding them if you wish.
As we walk the Covão de Santa Maria route, we'll enjoy impressive views of the Serra da Estrela Mountains. Afterwards, we'll take a short break to try some local aperitives.
We will also visit the grazing fields where the sheep produce the Serra da Estrela cheese, known for its quality. Finally, we'll return to the meeting point between 3 and 4 hours after we started.
