At the appointed time, we'll meet at Praça Luís de Camões in Guarda to set off on this trip to Trancoso, Marialva, and Linhares da Beira, three of Portugal's most historic villages.

We will first visit Trancoso, noted for its significant role in the independence and maintenance of Portugal's borders. We will review the remains of its medieval walls and the exteriors of the Castle of Trancoso, part of the Route of Historical Villages (GR22). After exploring Trancoso, we will proceed to Marialva.

The Castle of Marialva overlooks the medieval citadel, and we will explore its streets while learning about its history. We'll also visit the churches of Marialva and the main square, rich in remnants of the ancient city.

Our next destination will be Linhares da Beira, where we'll see one of the country's best-preserved castles and its unique urban layout. We'll also visit Misericordia Church and the Igreja Matriz, significant historical sites. Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Guarda after a total of 4 hours.
