La Peña Caverns Excursion

We'll meet at the designated time on Calle 32 in Guatapé. From there, we'll travel to the caverns of La Peña, located just half an hour away.

Once we arrive at the entrance of the caves, we'll put on our helmets and head inside these caves located 100 meters (328 feet) deep. In this set of underground galleries, we'll discover the characteristic nature of this area of the Colombian department of Antioquia.

We'll go on a 90-minute tour through the caves, during which we'll learn about their geological origins. We'll also admire the different types of rocks and minerals that are part of the rocky walls of the galleries.

As we explore the interior, we'll learn about some of the legends about the caves, as it's believed that the Indigenous Peoples native to this area of South America already knew about the caves.

After visiting the caves, we'll return to Guatapé, with arrival at the meeting point scheduled for four hours after pickup.
