San Rafael Coffee Tour

In this coffee tour in San Rafael, we'll visit a coffee farm to learn step by step how coffee is produced.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Calle 32 in Guatapé and travel to a coffee farm in the San Rafael area.

Upon arrival, we'll walk the 5-kilometre trail (3.1 miles) to the farm. There, we will be welcomed with a drink before starting the tour of the hacienda, during which we will learn about the steps for preparing Colombian coffee.

We will begin by visiting the coffee plantation, where we will observe how the plants are planted and cultivated. We will spend about 20 minutes learning about the harvest process and have the opportunity to pick coffee beans.

Next, we will proceed with the washing, drying, and roasting of the beans. After roasting, the beans will undergo the threshing process and be ground. The resulting coffee powder will be packaged, and some will be used to prepare a coffee-based drink for tasting at the end of the tour.

Finally, we will walk back to the vehicle for our return to Guatapé, with arrival scheduled 4 hours after pickup.
