San Rafael Coffee Tour

In this coffee tour in San Rafael, we'll visit a coffee farm to learn step by step how this intense and aromatic product, famous all over the world, is produced.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Calle 32 in Guatapé and go to a coffee farm located in the San Rafael area.

To get there, we will walk a 5-kilometre trail (3.1 miles) to the farm. Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a drink before beginning the tour through the hacienda, where we will learn about the steps for preparing intense Colombian coffee.

We'll start by visiting the coffee plantation, observing how the plants are planted and cultivated. This segment will last approximately 20 minutes, during which we will have the opportunity to pick the coffee beans.

The tour will continue with the washing, drying, and roasting of the beans. After roasting, the beans will undergo the threshing process and be ground. The resulting coffee powder will be packaged, and we will use some of it to prepare a coffee-based drink for tasting.

Finally, we will return to the vehicle, which will take us back to Guatapé. Arrival is scheduled 4 hours after pickup.
