San Rafael Coffee Tour

In this coffee tour in San Rafael, we will visit a coffee farm to learn about the production of this globally recognized product.

Description

At the specified time, we will meet at Calle 32 in Guatapé and proceed to a coffee farm in the San Rafael area.

Upon arrival, we will walk the 5-kilometre trail (3.1 miles) to the farm. We will be welcomed with a drink before starting the tour of the hacienda, where we will learn about the preparation of Colombian coffee.

The tour will commence with a visit to the coffee plantation, where we will observe how the plants are cultivated and have the chance to pick coffee beans ourselves for about 20 minutes.

Next, we will proceed to the washing, drying, and roasting processes. After roasting, the beans will be threshed and ground. The resulting coffee powder will be packaged, and some will be used to create a coffee-based drink for tasting, allowing you to experience its flavor.

Finally, we will return to the vehicle for the ride back to Guatapé, with an expected return 4 hours after pickup.
