Bayaguana Day Trip

Pick up will begin at 8 am from your hotel in Juan Dolio. We will travel by bus to explore the history of the region and the town of Bayaguana.

The route takes us from Santo Domingo to San Pedro de Macoris, showcasing typical Dominican villages. At 9:30 am, we will stop at a sugar cane field to see the crops and taste a piece of freshly cut sugar cane.

Next, we will visit the Santo Cristo de Bayaguana Church, which is over 400 years old. Following this, we will explore the local market to learn about local products and dishes.

We will then visit an artisan cigar factory to understand the production process of tobacco. Additionally, we will visit a school and a local house to gain insights into regional customs and traditions.

Around 12:30 pm, we will arrive at the Salto Alto Waterfalls for a refreshing swim in a natural setting. We will then proceed to Rancho Salto Alto for a Dominican buffet lunch.

The day trip concludes with a return to Juan Dolio, dropping you off at your hotel by 5 pm.
