Itinerary Overview

At the scheduled hour, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Guayaquil and embark on a scenic two-hour drive toward the Ayangue coastline.

Upon reaching Ayangue Beach, you will have the opportunity to change into your swim gear before boarding a vessel destined for the El Pelado Marine Reserve. This region is renowned for its rich biodiversity, where you will snorkel around El Pelado Islet, swimming in close proximity to sea lions and exploring a variety of colorful tropical fish.

While snorkeling, keep an eye out for seabirds nesting on the rocky outcrops. You might encounter blue-footed boobies—remarkably, their feet really are that vibrant blue—along with pelicans and frigatebirds. Furthermore, if the sea conditions are favorable, you may have the chance to see the underwater statue of Christ, located at a depth of 12 meters (39 feet).

After your snorkeling adventure, we’ll return to Ayangue Beach, where you can enjoy some leisure time while a nearby restaurant prepares a delicious traditional lunch. Once we’ve dined, changed, and taken in the coastal ambiance, we'll begin our journey back.

The tour will conclude with your drop-off at your hotel in Guayaquil, approximately 8 hours from the initial pickup.
