Enjoy a unique experience when you visit the Chimborazo volcano, the highest peak in Ecuador! This fantastic trip will also take you to the enchanting church of Balbanera.

Chimborazo Volcano Trip + Balbanera Church

We will pick you up at Avenida Isidro Ayora Cueva at 3 am and start a four and a half hour minibus ride to the Chimborazo Volcano.

Standing at a staggering 20,000 feet, the Chimborazo is the highest peak in Ecuador and one of its most significant natural attractions. Upon reaching the first refuge, we will begin the ascent to the Chimborazo crater. During the hike, you will encounter llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas and notice the changing landscape as we climb. We will reach the second refuge, where you will have time to photograph the landscape.

After descending from the Chimborazo volcano, we will go to the Colta lagoon to explore the picturesque Andean landscape and discuss the indigenous gatherings. Finally, we will visit the church of Balbanera, the oldest Catholic temple in Ecuador, with a walking tour around it.

After lunch, we will return to Guayaquil, with arrival at hotels scheduled for 3 pm.
