Cuenca Day Trip

Join us on our day trip to Cuenca and explore the beauty of a city known as the Athens of Ecuador. We'll set off from Guayaquil and spend the day touring this World Heritage City.

Cuenca Day Trip

We will pick you up at 6 am from your hotel in Guayaquil and head to Cuenca for a guided tour of its main sights.

The tour begins with a stroll through the colonial-era neighbourhood of San Sebastian and a visit to the Municipal Museum of Modern Art, showcasing engravings, paintings, sculptures, and contemporary works.

Next, we will walk through the Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, surrounded by the old cathedral and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, an impressive neo-Gothic structure that took 100 years to complete, inspired by St. Peter's Basilica.

We will visit a toquilla straw hat factory to learn how these iconic hats are made, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Afterward, we will head to El Barranco for views from the Turi viewpoint.

Lunch will include a main course and a drink. Post-lunch, we will take a guided tour of the La Paz craft brewery, learn about the brewing process and the German Purity Law of 1516, followed by tastings of frothy beers.

Finally, we will return to Guayaquil, dropping you off at your hotel by 4 pm.
