Cuenca Day Trip

Join us on our day trip to Cuenca, known as the Athens of Ecuador. We'll depart from Guayaquil and spend the day exploring this World Heritage City.

Cuenca Day Trip

We will pick you up at 6 am from your hotel in Guayaquil and head to Cuenca for a guided tour of its main sights.

The tour includes a stroll through the colonial neighbourhood of San Sebastian and a visit to the Municipal Museum of Modern Art to view engravings, paintings, sculptures, and contemporary works of art.

We will walk through the Plazuela de las Flores and Abdón Calderón Squares, surrounded by the old cathedral and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, a neo-Gothic structure that took 100 years to build, inspired by St. Peter's Basilica.

Next, we will visit a toquilla straw hat factory to learn about this iconic symbol of Ecuador, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We will continue to the El Barranco area to enjoy views from the Turi viewpoint.

For lunch, we will provide a main course and a drink. Following lunch, we will take a guided tour of La Paz craft brewery to learn about the brewing process and the German Purity Law of 1516, concluding with a tasting of various beers.

We will return to Guayaquil and drop you off at your hotel by 4 pm.
