Enjoy a boat trip through the meander of the Melero River in the province of Cáceres.
Meandro del Melero Boat Trip
We'll meet at the Centro Internacional de Innovación Deportiva-El Anillo, 8 kilometers from Guijo de Granadilla. The boat will take us on a journey along the river Alagón.
We will sail north through the Gabriel y Galán reservoir and observe various bird species, including black storks, griffon vultures, and short-toed eagles. Refreshments will be available on board.
During the trip, we will see the medieval village of Granadilla, its castle, the valleys of Las Hurdes, and the Natural Park of Las Batuecas and Sierra de Francia in Salamanca.
After one hour of sailing, we will reach the meander of the Melero for scenic views and photo opportunities.
The boat trip will last three and a half hours, concluding at the starting point.
Meandro del Melero
Access to the Meandro del Melero is not possible due to low water levels in the reservoir. The boat will approach the area but will not enter.
