Day 1: El Djem – Matmata – Douz

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Hammamet and head to the El Djem amphitheater, the third-largest amphitheater in the world, which could hold up to 30,000 spectators. After exploring the amphitheater, we'll visit the Matmata cave-houses in the Amazigh area, where you'll have approximately one hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

The tour will continue into the Douz desert, gateway to the Sahara. You can opt for a quad bike or camel ride for an additional fee. After the desert adventure, we’ll head to a hotel in Douz for overnight rest.

Day 2: Douz – Chott Djerid – Oasis - Kairouan

After breakfast (not included), we’ll visit Chott El Djerid, Tunisia's great salt lake, which stretches 250 kilometers from east to west. Next, we'll visit the mountain oasis of Chebika and Tamerza. The final stop will be Kairouan, where we will visit the Great Mosque to appreciate its significance in Islam.

The tour concludes with your return to the hotel in Hammamet.

Important Information

Tickets for the museums and monuments during the trip must be paid for at the ticket office, totaling about 15EUR.Camel ride (15EUR per person) lasts one hour; quad ride (25EUR per person) lasts 45 minutes.
