On this free tour through the Casablanca neighborhood, we'll see the castle of the Three Kings of Morro and the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, where you'll be able to attend the famous Havana cannon shooting ceremony.
Description
We'll begin this free tour at Aracelio Iglesias Park, meeting next to the ferry terminal. From there, we will set sail on the Lanchita de Regla, one of the most popular boats in Havana.
In 10 minutes, we'll cross the bay of Havana to the Casablanca pier. After disembarking in the Regla district, we'll tour the Christ of Havana, a 20-meter sculpture, and the Comandancia del Che, where Ernesto Guevara stayed post-revolution.
Next, we'll visit the Military History Museum, featuring the wreckage of a U.S. Air Force plane shot down during the 1962 missile crisis. Adjacent is the fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, dating back to the 18th century.
We will then stop at the castle of the Three Kings of Morro, a significant site during the Spanish colonial era. The tour concludes at the Morro lighthouse at 8 pm.
After the tour, we recommend staying to attend Havana's cañonazo ceremony at fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña at 9 pm.
