What is the Helsinki Card?

The Helsinki Card is a tourist card designed for those looking to explore the main attractions in Helsinki. When reserving, you can choose between the Helsinki Card and the Helsinki Region Card, the latter including not only Helsinki but also the areas of Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa.

Helsinki Card

Entry to key museums in Helsinki such as the Ateneum Art Museum (closed until 14 April 2023), Kiasma Contemporary Art, Temppeliaukio Church, Amos Rex, and the Museum of Design.Helsinki sightseeing tour (available from October to April) and a canal cruise (operational from May to September).Unlimited public transport use within zones AB in Helsinki, including streetcars, buses, subway, suburban trains, Suomenlinna ferry, and airport train.Digital Guide to Helsinki.Discounts at various shops and restaurants.

Helsinki Region Card

This card includes all benefits of the Helsinki Card along with:

Public transport coverage in Espoo, Kauniainen, and Vantaa (zones ABC).Train transport to and from Helsinki Airport.

How does it work?

The Helsinki Card becomes valid upon first use. It can be utilized for 24, 48, or 72 hours, depending on the option selected. For example, if you activate a 48-hour card on Tuesday at 11 am, it will be valid until Thursday at 10:59 am.

Each card allows one entry to every tourist attraction; however, transport is an exception. Children under 7 do not need a reservation.

Pickup

You can collect your Helsinki Card at the following locations:

Hotel Holiday Inn Helsinki City Centre, located at Elielinaukio 5, close to the City Center. Open Monday to Friday. Note that this hotel will be closed for renovations starting August 24, 2024.Stockmann Department Store Service Point, at Aleksanterinkatu 52, 8th floor. Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 8 pm; Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm; Sunday from 12 to 6 pm.Excess Baggage Airport Services, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, in the arrivals hall. Open Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 9 pm.Stromma Sales Kiosk, located at Market Square, the starting point for Helsinki Sightseeing tours. Open daily from May 1 to September 30.Panorama Sightseeing, situated at the exit point on Fabianinkatu St. from Esplanade Park, open daily at 11 am and on Saturdays at 1:30 pm from October 1 to December 31. This facility will be closed for renovations starting August 24, 2024.
