We will meet at Esplanadi Park, where a bus will take us to the coastal city of Porvoo, located by the Gulf of Finland via the Porvoo River. Our journey will take you into the heart of this historic city, known for its red riverside houses.
Upon arrival, we will start our walking tour to learn about the history of this town, which has inspired many Finnish artists.
We will explore the cobbled streets filled with wooden houses from the Middle Ages. You will also visit the town square and Porvoo’s Cathedral, known for its history, including surviving five fires.
After the tour, you will have free time to try local food, relax in a café, or continue exploring Porvoo independently.
Finally, we will return to Helsinki by bus.
