3-Day Tour of Crete

On this 3-day tour of Crete from Heraklion, we will discover places like the Arkadi Monastery and the cities of Vatos & Zaros.

Tour Description

Day 1: Heraklion - Gortyna - Festo - Matala - Zaros

Pickup is at Hari’s Creperiê. We will visit Gortyna, the ancient Roman capital, followed by the archaeological site of Festo. Next, there will be free time in Matala before heading to the village of Zaros. After check-in, enjoy free time to explore and have a typical Cretan dinner that evening.

Day 2: Zaros - Vatos - Spili - Lampini - St. Antonio's Gorge - Rethymno

After breakfast, we will visit the village of Vatos and then proceed to Spili for lunch. Afterward, we will visit Lampini and St. Antonio's Gorge. Arrive at Rethymno for free time to explore the town.

Day 3: Rethymno - Margarites - Arkadi Monastery - Heraklion

After breakfast, we leave at 9:30 am for Margarites, then proceed to Arkadi Monastery. Before returning to Heraklion, we will tour old town Rethymno, including the Venetian fortress of Fortezza. The tour concludes at 6 pm at the original departure point in Heraklion.

Tour Accommodation

The tour includes 2 nights of accommodation with breakfast at the following 2 and 3-star hotels:

Zaros: Idi Hotel (2*)Rethymno: Ideo Hotel or similar (3*)

If Zaros is unavailable, the first night will be in Heraklion at Marin Hotel or similar.
