Chania, Kournas Lake & Rethymno Day Trip

At 7:30 am, we'll gather at the meeting point in Heraklion and head west along the coast of Crete to Chania, the first stop of the day.

In Chania, we will explore its streets, visiting the Old Town, the harbor, the Venetian fortress, and the Turkish mosques. You’ll have free time for lunch and further exploration.

Next, we will travel to Kournas Lake, where you can enjoy the extensive vegetation and freshwater habitat. You will learn about the local flora and fauna, including eels and two-color turtles, and have time to swim in the lagoon.

Finally, we will visit Rethymno for a guided tour. Here, you will see significant sites like the 16th-century Venetian fortress, the Rimondi Fountain, and the Loggia, as well as several mosques.

After the tour, we will return to the meeting point in Heraklion, arriving around 7:30 pm.
