Chania, Kournas Lake & Rethymno Day Trip

At 7:30 am, we'll meet at the arranged location in Heraklion. We'll then head west along the coast of Crete to Chania, our first stop.

In Chania, we will explore the Old Town, including the harbor, Venetian fortress, and Turkish mosques. The modern city offers an opportunity to taste local gastronomy.

After exploring Chania, you'll have free time for a meal at a local restaurant and further exploration. Once ready, we will proceed to Kournas Lake, where the extensive vegetation and large freshwater habitat will impress you.

We'll tour Kournas and discover its flora and fauna, including eels and two-color turtles. You will also have time for a swim in the lagoon.

Our final stop is Rethymno for a guided tour. Visit iconic locations such as the 16th-century Venetian fortress, Rimondi Fountain, Loggia, and various mosques.

At the end of the day, we will return to the meeting point in Heraklion, arriving around 7:30 pm.
