Sonora Desert 3 Day Tour

Day 1: Magdalena de Kino & Puerto Peñasco

Pick up will be at 8 am from Plaza Hidalgo or your hotel in Hermosillo. The tour heads north to Magdalena de Kino, arriving in two hours. Visits include the tomb of Padre Kino, followed by travel through the Sonora Desert to Puerto Peñasco, a journey of three and a half hours. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 2: El Pinacate & Altar Desert

After breakfast, the tour visits the Altar Desert, home to the largest sand dunes in North America, with a two-hour hike scheduled. The afternoon includes a visit to El Pinacate, a volcanic region noted for its natural rock formations, specifically El Elegante and Cerro Colorado. Return to the hotel for rest.

Day 3: La Proveedora

This day includes a visit to the archaeological site of La Proveedora, known for its ancient petroglyphs. Following this exploration, the tour returns to Hermosillo with drop-off at the selected location.

Accommodation

The tour includes two nights' bed and breakfast accommodation:

1st night: Hotel Paraíso del Desierto.

2nd night: Hotel Nora.

Children under 8 years must share a room with their parents.

Hotel Pick Up

Pick up is from hotels in downtown Hermosillo, Kino Boulevard hotel zone, and the airport for arrivals before 7:30 am. Guests from other areas will meet at Plaza Hidalgo.
