Yécora Forest 2-Day Excursion

Day 1: Hermosillo - Yécora

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hermosillo and head to Yécora, a town in the Sierra Madre Oriental. The minibus trip will take almost five hours.

Upon arrival, we'll leave our luggage at the hotel and enjoy lunch. Afterward, we'll visit Rancho La Cueva for a short 3-kilometer hike to the top of a rocky outcrop. The views from the top are remarkable.

During the tour, we'll take a 40-minute horseback ride through the dense coniferous forests that were once home to the Tarahumara Indigenous Peoples. We will end the day with a dinner featuring various grilled meats.

Day 2: Yécora - Hermosillo

We'll start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then visit a forked tree shaped like a 'Y' on the outskirts of town. Then we'll explore the center of Yécora, including the main square, colorful letters, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

Afterward, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch and visit Mesa del Campanero to see a local vegetable garden. Finally, we'll go to the Mirador El Bordo viewpoint for views of the green pine forests.

We will return to Hermosillo, with an arrival at your hotel scheduled for 8 pm.
