Vía Verde de la Plata Bike Tour

Embark on a scenic bike tour through the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the historic Vía Verde de la Plata.

Tour Highlights

We'll meet at Avenida de la Constitución in Hervás, located in the Ambroz Valley, Cáceres. After gathering at the upper part of Béjar in Salamanca, we will provide all necessary equipment and instructions for the bike tour along the Vía Verde de la Plata.

Participants will navigate through the scenic Sierra de Béjar mountains amidst lush forests, following the route based on a 19th-century railway path—the Vía Verde de la Plata, which previously connected Plasencia and Astorga by train.

Over the span of 3 hours, we will pedal through the stunning views of the Ambroz Valley, passing notable towns such as Béjar and Baños de Montemayor. The tour concludes with a return to Hervás, where bikes will be returned.

Bike Options

When booking, choose between a mountain bike or an electric bike. Tricycle-style bikes, equipped with a cart for one or two small children, are available for those traveling with children.
