Vía Verde de la Plata Bike Tour

Embark on a scenic bike tour through the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the historic Vía Verde de la Plata, once the path of an ancient railway!

Tour Highlights

We'll meet at the designated time on Avenida de la Constitución in Hervás, located in the Ambroz Valley in Cáceres. Setting off towards the route's starting point in the upper part of Béjar, Salamanca, we will gather equipment and provide instructions for the bike tour along the Vía Verde de la Plata.

Our journey will take us through the landscapes of the Sierra de Béjar mountains, navigating lush forests. This route follows a 19th-century railway path, which once connected Plasencia and Astorga by train. Over the course of 3 hours, we will pedal through the Ambroz Valley, passing notable towns such as Béjar and Baños de Montemayor.

We will conclude by returning to Hervás, where we will return the bikes and bid farewell.

Bike Options

When booking, you can choose between a mountain bike or an electric bike. For families with children, there is the option to rent a tricycle-style bike with a cart suitable for one or two small children.
