Embark on a scenic bike tour through the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the historic Vía Verde de la Plata, once the path of an ancient railway!
Tour Highlights
We'll meet up at the designated time on Avenida de la Constitución in Hervás, located in the Ambroz Valley of Cáceres. The tour departs from the upper part of Béjar in Salamanca, where we will gather equipment and provide instructions for the bike tour.
The route navigates through the Sierra de Béjar mountains, including lush forests, aligning with the 19th-century railway path known as the Vía Verde de la Plata, which connected Plasencia and Astorga.
During the 3-hour ride, we will explore the scenic Ambroz Valley, passing through towns such as Béjar and Baños de Montemayor.
We will return to the starting point in Hervás to return the bikes and conclude the tour.
Bike Options
When booking, you may choose between a mountain bike or an electric bike for the tour. If traveling with children, a tricycle-style bike with a cart for one or two small children is available for rent.
