Vía Verde de la Plata Bike Tour

Embark on a scenic bike tour through the mountains of Castilla y León and Extremadura, following the historic Vía Verde de la Plata, once the path of an ancient railway!

Tour Highlights

We'll meet at Avenida de la Constitución in Hervás, in the Ambroz Valley, Cáceres. The tour starts at the upper part of Béjar in Salamanca, where we'll provide all necessary equipment and instructions for the bike tour along the Vía Verde de la Plata.

Over 3 hours, we'll pedal through the landscapes of the Sierra de Béjar mountains, passing through lush forests and along the path of a 19th-century railway, which once linked Plasencia to Astorga. The route includes notable towns such as Béjar and Baños de Montemayor.

Upon completion, we'll return to Hervás to return the bikes and conclude the tour.

Bike Options

When booking, you can select a mountain bike or an electric bike. For families, a tricycle-style bike is available, accommodating one or two small children.
