Catalina Island Diving Experience

Description

Between 7 and 8 am, our team will collect you from your accommodation in Punta Cana and transfer you to the La Romana port. Here, we will board a boat that will take us to our initial dive location at Catalina Island. Are you prepared for an unforgettable underwater exploration?

Our first stop will be at La Pared, renowned for its stunning underwater coral wall that plunges to a depth of 100 meters (328 feet). This 50-minute dive will see us descend to 18 meters (60 feet) where we can marvel at the diverse marine life, including barracudas, hawksbill turtles, and seahorses.

Following this, we will board the boat to reach our second dive site, known as the Aquarium. This second dive also lasts for 50 minutes, allowing ample time to witness the abundant wildlife, featuring species such as lionfish, frogfish, balloonfish, surgeonfish, and butterflyfish!

After the dives, we'll proceed to Catalina Island beach for a refreshing buffet lunch including chicken, pork chops, beans, rice, salad, and a variety of drinks. Those wishing to further explore can also try some snorkeling post-lunch, giving you another chance to enjoy the Caribbean waters.

We will return you to your hotel between 3 and 3:30 pm.

Requirements

Participation in this activity requires a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent to ensure you are adequately prepared for the dives.

Important

It is crucial to wait a minimum of 24 hours after the final dive before flying or ascending to high altitudes.

Companion

For those without a diving certificate or who simply prefer not to dive, there is an option to join as a companion. While your group is diving, you can partake in snorkeling activities.
