Guided Tour of Hiroshima
At 10 am, we'll meet next to Nishi Kamiyacho Station to discuss how World War II ended in Japan during this guided tour. We will first visit the Hiroshima Peace Museum to relive tragic moments of modern history, exploring the horrors caused by the atomic bombing of August 1945 and how locals managed to recover from this event.
After the museum, we will proceed to the Orizuru Tower, the iconic symbol of the city. From the observation deck, we will enjoy panoramic views of Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park, along with views of the castle and the island of Miyajima.
We will pause for lunch, which includes a dish and a drink, before moving on to the Genbaku Dome, known as the Hiroshima Peace Monument. This structure is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its historical value, and our guide will provide details about its significance.
The guided tour will conclude with a return to the original starting point at 2:30 pm after a morning filled with history and reflection.
