Learn all about one of the most important locations of World War II on this guided tour of Hiroshima. Discover how this Japanese city was reborn after the atomic bombing and why it symbolizes forgiveness and reconciliation.
Tour Details
At the designated time, we will meet next to Nishi Kamiyacho Station to explore how World War II came to an end in Japan.
First, we will visit the Hiroshima Peace Museum to learn about the tragic events of August 1945 and how the local population recovered from the atomic bombing.
After the museum, we will go to the Orizuru Tower, where we will enjoy panoramic views of Hiroshima and the Peace Memorial Park, as well as see the castle and the island of Miyajima.
We will take a break for lunch, which includes a dish and a drink. Following lunch, we will visit the Genbaku Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Hiroshima Peace Monument. Our guide will provide detailed insights about this structure.
The tour will conclude after 4.5 hours of history and reflection as we return to the starting point.
