Miyajima Japanese Cultural Experience

When booking, you can choose a cultural experience with 2 or 3 activities. They all start at the Okeiko Japan Academy in Miyajima.

2 activities experience

If you choose this option, you'll enjoy two experiences, selecting between a Japanese calligraphy workshop, an amulet workshop, or a tea ceremony. Each activity lasts 30 minutes.

At the academy, cultural immersion begins with 30 minutes to put on a traditional kimono before the activities. In the calligraphy workshop, you'll learn to write your name using Japanese letters. The craft workshop involves making traditional Japanese amulets, while the tea ceremony focuses on the symbolism in this ritual. The activities conclude after 1.5 hours.

3 activities experience

If you prefer an even more complete experience, this option allows participation in all three workshops. After dressing in kimonos, you'll engage in each cultural activity, ensuring a blend of fun and learning. The entire experience will last 2 hours.
