Miyajima Japanese Cultural Experience

When booking, you can choose a cultural experience with 2 or 3 activities. All experiences start at the Okeiko Japan Academy in Miyajima.

2 activities experience

If you choose this option, you'll enjoy two activities from a selection of a Japanese calligraphy workshop, an amulet workshop, or a tea ceremony. Each activity lasts 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at the academy, the cultural immersion begins. During the first 30 minutes, you will don a traditional kimono before starting the activities.

If you select the writing workshop, you will learn to write your name in Japanese. In the craft workshop, you'll discover how traditional Japanese amulets are made. If you opt for the Japanese tea ceremony, you will learn about the symbolism behind each gesture in this ritual. The activities conclude 1.5 hours later.

3 activities experience

If you prefer an even more complete experience, this option is ideal. After putting on kimonos, you will participate in all three cultural workshops. This option guarantees fun and learning, concluding 2 hours later.
