Miyajima Japanese Cultural Experience

When booking, you can choose a cultural experience with 2 or 3 activities. They all start at the Okeiko Japan Academy in Miyajima.

2 activities experience

If you choose this option, you'll enjoy two experiences, to choose between a Japanese calligraphy workshop, an amulet workshop, or a tea ceremony. Each activity will last 30 minutes.

Once we meet at the academy, the cultural immersion will begin. During the first 30 minutes, we'll help you put on a traditional kimono before starting the activities.

If you choose the writing workshop, you'll learn to write your name with Japanese letters. In the craft workshop, you'll discover how traditional Japanese amulets are made. If you do the Japanese tea ceremony, you'll learn about the symbolism behind each gesture in this ritual. The activities end 1.5 hours later.

3 activities experience

If you prefer an even more complete experience, this option is ideal for you. After putting on the kimonos, you'll take part in the three cultural workshops. The experience will end 2 hours later.
