Huon Valley and Hastings Caves Day Trip

Stroll through the treetops of the Tahune Forest on this day trip to the Huon Valley and visit Hastings Caves.

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, pickup will be from your hotel in the center of Hobart to board a minibus to the Huon Valley, famous for its apple orchards and craft cider production.

The first stop is the Tahune Airwalk, where you will have 2 hours of free time to explore the area along the Huon River and enjoy a meal. Experience the towering trees, some over 2500 years old.

The next destination is Hastings Caves, one of two Dolomite caves in Australia. Here, you will explore the cave and learn about the geological history while observing local fauna, including platypus, quolls, pademelons, and birds.

After the cave visit, we will return to Hobart, stopping at a local cider producer for a tasting if desired. The tour lasts a total of 10 hours.

Hotel Pickup

The tour includes pickup from hotels in downtown Hobart. For those staying outside this area, the meeting point is at the corner of Davey and Elizabeth Street at the specified time.
