Port Arthur and Richmond Day Trip

At the indicated time, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Hobart. We’ll board a comfortable minibus, passing by Government House and the Tasman Bridge over the Derwent River. Our journey continues into the Coal River Valley to explore the local wine country and visit the historic Richmond Bridge.

Next, we’ll head to the Tasman Peninsula, known for its bushland and coastal landscapes. We’ll travel through the cliffs of Doo Town before arriving at Tasman National Park in Pristine Pirates Bay, characterized by dramatic coastlines and rock formations.

We’ll continue to Port Arthur for a guided tour of this historic site. You can explore with an audio guide at your own pace, with five hours allocated for visits to the Interpretation Center, Penitentiary, Commandant's House, Harbor Church, and Port Church.

Afterward, we’ll board a boat for a cruise through Carnarvon Bay to view the Island of the Dead and learn its history as a convict burial site.

Following the boat tour, we’ll return to Port Arthur, where you have free time for lunch. We recommend visiting Tasmania’s Chocolate Foundry for a treat.

Finally, we’ll return to your hotel in Hobart, arriving approximately 9 hours after the tour begins.
