Are you in Hobart and looking for an amazing day out? If so, this trip to Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park is the one for you!
Description
On the day of the activity, hotel pickup is from your hotel in Hobart. We will travel to Wineglass Bay and Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's east coast. Shortly after departure, there will be a stop at a Bakery for coffee or breakfast.
Before reaching Wineglass Bay, we will stop at the town of Richmond to view Richmond Bridge, the oldest convict-built bridge in Australia still in use. We will explore Richmond’s scenic surroundings.
Next, we head to Buckland, home to the Church of John the Baptist, constructed by convicts in 1846. We will learn about its stained glass windows.
Continuing, we will reach the village of Orford and visit Raspins beach for views across Prosser Bay to Maria Island.
We then arrive at Freycinet National Park and spend around 4 hours there. A 45-minute walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout allows for views of native wildlife. If desired, you can also walk down to Wineglass Bay Beach. We suggest stopping at one of the wineries for lunch, and for seafood, visit the Marine Farm. We will also visit Kate's Berry Farm for treats before returning to Hobart.
After 11 hours, the tour ends.
