Lantern Workshop in Hoi-An

Learn to make magical lanterns with a workshop led by Vietnamese artisans in Hoi An, along with a visit to Tra Que village.

Itinerary

In the morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Hoi An and travel by bike to the village of Tra Que. Engage with local farmers in tasks such as digging, sowing, planting, and harvesting vegetables while experiencing the countryside air.

Afterward, bike through rice fields to the artisan workshop to explore how the iconic lanterns of Hoi An are created. Learn about the tradition of lantern making and uncover the secrets behind their shapes and colors.

You'll then have the opportunity to create your own lanterns, guided by expert artisans. This hands-on experience allows you to design and make a lantern to take home as a souvenir.

After four hours of exploring Hoi An's artisanal heritage, you will return to your hotel by bike.

If you prefer to attend only the lantern-making workshop, you may book directly at the workshop location, 310 Nguyen Duy Hieu, where the session lasts 1 hour.

This option does not include hotel pickup, drop-off, the bike ride, or lunch.
