Lantern Workshop in Hoi-An

Learn to make magical lanterns that illuminate Hoi An during this workshop led by local artisans, with a visit to the village of Tra Que.

Itinerary

In the morning, pickup from your hotel in Hoi An will take you by bike to the village of Tra Que. Engage in activities such as digging, sowing, planting, and harvesting vegetables, gaining insight into local farming practices.

Afterward, continue cycling through rice fields to the artisan workshop to discover how the iconic lanterns are created, which are a key attraction of Hoi An. Learn about the origin of this tradition and its significance.

In the workshop, you will have the opportunity to make your own lantern under the guidance of skilled artisans. This hands-on experience allows you to create a unique souvenir to take home.

Following approximately four hours of exploration, you will return to your hotel by bike.

If preferred, you can opt for just the lantern-making workshop, meeting directly at 310 Nguyen Duy Hieu, lasting 1 hour.

This option does not include hotel pickup, the bike ride, or lunch.

Schedule: available at 8 am and 3 pm.
