Lantern Workshop in Hoi-An

Learn to make the magical lanterns that illuminate Hoi An during a workshop led by local artisans. You will also visit the village of Tra Que.

Itinerary

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Hoi An and travel by bike to Tra Que. You will have the opportunity to help local people with farming tasks, gaining insight into their daily life.

We will then proceed to the artisan workshop, where you will learn how the iconic lanterns of Hoi An are made. You'll discover the origin of this tradition and the secrets of their design and colors.

You will also be able to make your own lanterns under the guidance of expert artisans. At the end of the workshop, you can take your creation home as a souvenir.

After four hours, we will return to your hotel by bike.

Lantern Workshop

For those only interested in the lantern-making workshop, you can book this option and meet directly at the workshop located at 310 Nguyen Duy Hieu, which lasts 1 hour.

This option does not include hotel pickup or drop-off, the bike ride, or lunch.

Schedule: available at 8 am and 3 pm.
