Did you know that the vineyard landscape of Pico Island is a World Heritage Site? On this tour, you'll discover the flora, fauna, and history of one of the most beautiful islands of the Azores.
Pico Island Day Trip
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Horta and then take a boat to Pico Island. We'll traverse landscapes of endless vineyards, declared World Heritage Site, and visit the most beautiful villages on this island.
Once we get to the island, we'll explore the village of São Mateus, home to one of the oldest parishes. We'll also visit a crafts workshop.
Our next stop is Lajes do Pico, the first inhabited spot on the island, where we'll visit the Museo dos Baleeiros to learn about the area's fishing heritage. If the tour is on a Monday, the museum will be closed, and we'll spend extra time at other locations.
For lunch, we'll have a buffet lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the village of São Roque. On the way, we will stop at Lagoa do Capitão, one of the largest lagoons, for remarkable views.
After capturing photos, we'll visit the parish of Bandeiras, concluding the tour at Arcos do Cachorro for views of the sea caves. Finally, we'll drop you back at your hotel in Horta after 7-8 hours of exploring Pico Island.
