Feel like breathing in the pristine fresh air of Chilean Patagonia? On this hiking tour, we'll walk along the shores of Lake Cabrera, surrounded by lush forests and towering volcanoes.

Lake Cabrera Hiking Tour

We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel in Hornopirén, and from there, we will start our journey to the trailhead.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 7 kilometers (4.3 miles), medium-difficulty hike through the landscapes of Chilean Patagonia, discovering its diversity of plants and wildlife. We will traverse lush forests and observe native botanical species of the Andes, such as myrtles, tepas, cirguerillos, canelos, ulmos, and lumas.

Following the trail through the forest, we will reach Lake Cabrera, located 530 meters (1,700 feet) above sea level, at the foothills of the Hornopirén and Yates volcanoes. We'll explore the source of the Cuchiledo River and learn about its underground spring.

We will take a break on the shores of Lake Cabrera to enjoy a snack bar, a piece of fruit, and a hydrating sports drink. After this, we'll begin our return trek to the trailhead.

Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Hornopirén, arriving by 1:30 pm.
