Unleash your adventurous spirit on this hike through the snow-covered peaks of Huaytapallana, nestled in the heart of the Andes Mountains. Immerse yourself in the beauty of this captivating location in Huancayo.

Tour Highlights

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Huamanmarca Park and embark on a minibus journey to Estancia Huaytapallana, the starting point for our hike. Prior to the trek, a breakfast will be provided at the estancia. Energized, we'll set off toward the snowy summit of Huaytapallana. During the approximately 3-hour ascent, we will explore this Andean mountain. The name "Huaytapallana," which translates to "where the flowers are gathered," will be revealed as we progress.

We will pass through the Enchanted Lakes, including Carhuacocha, Cocha Grande, and Yanaucsha, providing opportunities for photos. At the midpoint of the hike, we will perform a ceremonial offering to Pachamama using coca leaves, with local guides explaining this ancient Peruvian tradition.

The hike culminates at an elevation of 4,950 meters (16,240 feet), 500 meters (1,640 feet) from Huaytapallana's slopes, offering views of the glacier and Mantaro Valley. We will then descend along the Abra Yanauchsa route for about 1.5 hours until we return to Estancia Huaytapallana, where you can choose to have lunch. We will conclude the experience after approximately 10.5 hours from the start in Huancayo.
