Cachigaga & Tomayquichua Day Trip

At your chosen time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Huánuco. We will board our minibus and travel to the village of Tomayquichua.

Upon arrival, we will see the famous wishing well. We will also visit the Hermitage of María Causa de Nuestra Alegría, a place of prayer associated with local miracles.

Next, we will travel to the Hacienda Cachigaga. At this rural farm, we will learn about the trapiche, a mill used for extracting juice from sugar canes, and we will sample some of the drinks produced. We will then visit the House of María Micaela Villegas y Hurtado de Mendoza, known as "La Perricholi," to discuss her remarkable life.

After a 4-hour day trip, we will return to your hotel in Huánuco.
