Huánuco City Tour
You'll be picked up from your accommodation at the time of your choice to begin this tour of Huánuco. This city is known as the city of the Knights of León, named after its founder, commander Gómez de Alvarado y Contreras.
The tour will include visits to key points of interest in Huánuco, such as the main square, the cathedral, and churches including San Sebastian, San Cristobal, and San Francisco, all from the 16th century. You'll also see the mausoleum of Daniel Alomía Robles, composer of the melody El cóndor pasa (The Condor Passes By).
The tour will continue to iconic monuments like the Calicanto bridge and a granite fountain over 100 years old. Additionally, the picturesque park of Santo Domingo, known for its "tree of love," will be visited along with the house of Leoncio Prado Gutierrez, a figure in the guerrilla war against the Spanish in Cuba and the Philippines.
The last stop will be at the monument to the "Negritos de Huanuco", a traditional dance associated with Christmas and Easter festivities. After 3 hours of exploring Huánuco, the tour will conclude and you will be taken back to your accommodation.
