Your adventure will commence with a pickup at 8 am from your accommodation in Huanuco. Together, we will explore the intriguing hidden stories and legends of the Enchanted River Valley, widely recognized as the Valley of the Witches.

Our initial destination will be the Church of the Forgotten Christ, the site of a remarkable event in 1986 when the crucifix of Jesus mysteriously began to bleed. Within this sacred space, we will delve into the details of this phenomenon that has led to its designation as the Church of the Miraculous Crucified Christ.

Next, we will visit the Cerro de las Brujas, a site that lends its name to the valley. This area, renowned for its associations with historical witchcraft, is shrouded in intriguing tales, revealing what practices were believed to have taken place here.

As we traverse the valley, remnants of colonial history will greet us, including the Hacienda Ingenio and the Church of San Miguel Arcángel, established by Franciscan missionaries to guide the spiritual journey of local inhabitants. Our journey will continue to the house where Simon Bolivar stayed in 1822 during his quest for independence, where you will learn about the whispers of his time there.

Subsequently, we will arrive at the chullpa de Collormayo, an ancient pre-Inca burial monument, where we’ll gain insights into the burial rituals of this long-gone civilization. Our exploration concludes with a visit to a local zoo and a craft museum, where you will encounter ceramics from the Atash, Acosh, and Chavín cultures alongside captivating pieces of ecological art.

We will return you to your accommodation in Huánuco by 2 pm, completing a day rich in discovery and understanding.
