Spend a day full of mystery with this fantastic tour of the Witches Valley of Huanuco where you will discover enchanting mysteries and legends.

Witches Valley Tour

We will pick you up at 8 am at your lodging in Huanuco to begin this tour in which we will discover the most mysteries and legends of the Enchanted River Valley, also known as the Valley of the Witches.

The first stop will be at the church of the Forgotten Christ. This church gained its name from an unexplainable phenomenon in 1986, when the image of Jesus Christ on the cross began to bleed spontaneously. We will explore the temple and hear the story of this event.

Next, we will visit the Cerro de las Brujas, the site after which the valley is named, known for its association with witches. You will learn about the legends surrounding this location.

As we cross the valley, we will see colonial era vestiges, including the Hacienda Ingenio and the church of San Miguel Arcángel, established by Franciscan monks. We will then stop at the house where Simon Bolivar spent the night in 1822 during his campaign for freedom, sharing mysterious stories about his stay.

We will then approach the chullpa de Collormayo, a pre-Inca funeral monument, to learn about the funeral rites of this culture. Finally, we will visit a zoo and a craft museum, featuring ceramics from the Atash, Acosh, and Chavín cultures, alongside samples of ecological art.

We will return to your lodging in Huánuco, arriving at 2 pm.
