We will convene at Calle Jirón 28 de Julio 710 at the designated time to commence our journey to the Santa Cruz bridge. The adventure awaits!
Upon arrival, we will embark on a two-hour trek through the stunning Cordillera Negra. As we traverse this scenic route, keep an eye out for soaring eagles and falcons, and observe the unique totora plant, historically utilized for raft construction.
Once we reach the Lake Wilcacocha, prepare to be captivated by sweeping views of the Cordillera Blanca and its towering snowy summits, including Huascarán, Copa, Vallunaraju, and Churup. Take leisurely strolls along the lake's edge and savor the pristine air at an elevation of 3745 meters (12200 feet). Remember to capture this unforgettable experience!
Following an hour of leisure time for lunch in this serene Peruvian setting, we will begin our descent and return to Huaraz.
We anticipate arriving back at the starting point between 3 and 4 PM.
