Live the history of the Vietnam War with this excursion to Vietnam's demilitarised zone. We'll visit significant sites, including military bases and the subterranean tunnels of the Viet Cong.

Description

Pickup will be at your hotel at the specified time, starting with a visit to the Quang Tri citadel. The next stop is Khe Sanh, site of one of the war's most notable battles in 1968, now home to a weapons museum and historical photographs.

Afterward, we’ll visit Dakrong Bridge, a gift from Cuba in the 1970s, and you will have free time for lunch and to rest at Khe Sanh base.

Next, we will visit the Hien Loun bridge on the Ben Hai river, significant since the 1954 Geneva Conference when Vietnam was divided, now a symbol of reunification.

Continuing on, we will explore the Vinh Moc tunnels, where an estimated 300 families lived during the war. These tunnels stretch almost 3 kilometers and have three levels for housing, weapon storage, and protection from bombings.

After touring the tunnels, we’ll proceed to the museum for a historical overview of the conflict and the lives impacted by it.

The tour concludes with our return to Hue, with arrival at your hotel scheduled 11 hours after pickup.
