Live the history of the Vietnam War with this excursion to Vietnam's demilitarised zone. We'll visit significant sites, including military bases and tunnels used by the Viet Cong.

Description

Pickup at your hotel will occur at the specified time, beginning at the Quang Tri citadel. Next, we will proceed to Khe Sanh, the site of a prolonged battle in 1968. The base now features a weapons museum and historical photographs.

Afterward, we will visit the Dakrong Bridge, a donation from the Cuban government in the 1970s. You will have free time for lunch and rest at the base of Khe Sanh before continuing to important historical sites.

We will visit the Hien Loun bridge on the Ben Hai river, a symbol of the 1954 division of Vietnam, which has now come to represent reunification.

The tour will then lead us to the Vinh Moc tunnels, where an estimated 300 families resided during the war. The tunnels are approximately 3 kilometers long and consist of three levels designed for various purposes, including family living quarters and weapon storage.

Following the tunnels, we will visit a museum to gain further historical context regarding the conflict and the experiences of those affected.

The tour concludes with our return to Hue, with an expected arrival at your hotel 11 hours after pickup.
