Live the history of the Vietnam War with this excursion to Vietnam's demilitarised zone. We'll visit key sites, including military bases and subterranean tunnels used by the Viet Cong.

Description

Pickup will be at your hotel at the scheduled time, starting at the Quang Tri citadel. Our first significant stop will be Khe Sanh, site of one of the longest and bloodiest battles in 1968, now home to a weapons museum and historical photographs.

Next, we’ll visit the Dakrong Bridge, a gift from the Cuban government, followed by a visit to the base at Khe Sanh, where you will have free time for lunch.

We will then proceed to the Hien Loun bridge on the Ben Hai river, a symbol of the country's division and subsequent reunification post-1954 Geneva Conference.

Next, we will explore the Vinh Moc tunnels, where an estimated 300 families lived during the war. The tunnels, nearly 3 kilometers long, consist of three levels: one for families, one for storing weapons, and a deeper level for protection from bombings.

Following the tunnels, we will visit a museum for an in-depth understanding of the conflict and the experiences of those who lived through it.

The tour will conclude as we return to Hue, with arrival at your hotel scheduled 11 hours after pickup.
