Discover the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar on this day trip from Huelva. Explore the rock, learn about its history, and meet the famous monkeys that inhabit it.

Day Trip to Gibraltar

Your tour guide will pick you up from your selected meeting point to begin your journey to Gibraltar, a British territory since the late 18th century. The Rock has been a point of contention between the United Kingdom and Spain due to its strategic location near the Strait that separates it from Africa.

Enjoy a minibus tour of the Rock, along with a guided visit to St Michael's Cave, an extensive network of limestone caves used by military forces since the Middle Ages. Explore its various chambers as you learn about the history of the sieges and battles that occurred here.

Next, head to Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar, offering views of the surrounding area, including the Port of Algeciras and the Strait of Gibraltar. On clear days, the Rif Mountains in Morocco can be seen. Europa Point also hosts the Shrine of Our Lady of Europe and the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque.

Meet Gibraltar's Barbary macaques, the only wild primates in Europe, before enjoying free time to dine in local restaurants (not included) or shop duty-free. At the end of the trip, return to Huelva for drop-off at your hotel.
