Huelva Guided City Tour Itinerary
We'll meet at the train station at the indicated time to start this guided tour of Huelva. Aboard a bus, we'll explore the main sites of interest in the city.
Your local tour guide will point out the Queen Victoria district, a neighborhood of British-style homes built in the early 20th century for miners of Rio Tinto.
The bus will pass by Huelva Cathedral, located on the former site of the chapel of the Convent of La Merced, established in the 17th century. The cathedral is connected to the old convent, which also served as a hospital and is now home to the University of Huelva.
The tour includes Casa Colón, a 19th-century building associated with the city's colonial heritage, now a congressional palace and venue for the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival.
In the historic center of Huelva, we will shift to a guided walking tour, starting at the Provincial Museum to explore its archaeological exhibition.
We will walk to see Casa Colón, the monument to the Virgin of Rocío, and visit the church-museum of the Virgin of La Esperanza, as well as other key sites such as the Town Hall, Plaza de las Monjas, Gran Teatro, and the Concepción Church.
We'll finish at Huelva's market and Muelle del Tino, a historic pier, ending the tour after approximately 4 hours.
