Huelva: On the Trail of Christopher Columbus
After being picked up from your selected pickup point, you'll begin your tour of the "lugares colombinos", following the historic route in Huelva province visited by Columbus. Your expert local guide will provide insights into the history of Palos de la Frontera.
In Palos de la Frontera, you'll visit the 13th century La Rábida Friary, where Columbus stayed with monks after his 1490 request for an expedition was rejected. This site has been a Spanish National Monument since 1856.
Next, proceed to the Wharf of the Caravels, a museum dedicated to Columbus' journey and housing full-size replicas of the ships from his first voyage: the Pinta, Niña, and Santa María. You'll also visit the Isla del Encuentro, a recreation of the scenery encountered in the "New World".
Upon completing the tour of Columbus' trail in Huelva, you will return to your original pickup point in the city center.

The tour includes pickup in Islantilla, El Portil, El Rompido, Huelva, Isla Canela, Isla Cristina, and Punta Umbria. During the booking process, various meeting points will be available for selection.
