On this hiking and rafting activity in the canyon of the Coello River, we will go down rapids and walk trails while surrounded by a beautiful lush green landscape!

Coello River Canyon Hiking and Rafting Tour

At the time of booking, you can choose between 2 tour options, depending on the duration and the activities you wish to do. Both include pickup at 8 am and drop off at your hotel in Ibagué.

5-hour Tour

We'll start by walking along a trail surrounded by vegetation, rivers, and waterfalls while observing the local flora and fauna until we reach Coello River. Here, we'll hop on the rafts to embark on a 3-mile (5 km) descent through class II and III rapids. You'll navigate the rapids surrounded by green mountains and see miners searching for gold on both sides of the river.

9-hour Tour with Lunch

We'll begin by walking through the canyon of the Coello River, observing the biodiversity of the area, until we reach the riverbanks. Here, we'll start a 10-mile (16 km) descent through class III rapids. Following the river's course, we'll enjoy the lush landscapes. After rafting, we'll hike to the waterfalls of El Oso, Chorro Blanco, and Paraíso, where you'll have time for a refreshing swim.

Next, we'll have a typical lunch consisting of a main course and a drink. Finally, we'll visit the Madremonte Cave to learn about its legend.
