El Salto Waterfall 2-day Private Hiking Tour

Day 1

At 6 am, we'll meet at Carrera 4d in Ibagué. We will take a 4x4 to Juntas, starting our trekking route to El Salto waterfall. A breakfast in Juntas will precede our departure. At 7:30 am, we will embark on a six to eight hour hike towards the Escuela El Salto. During the trek, we will navigate through the Combeima canyon and view the snow-capped summit of Tolima.

We will take a break midway for lunch consisting of rice, meat, plantain, and lemonade. We will finally arrive at the rural inn of Escuela El Salto, which serves as a haven for mountain lovers. We will rest here for the night.

Day 2

On the second day, we'll begin with breakfast at the school's rural inn. Afterward, we will embark on a one-hour hike to El Salto waterfall. After enjoying the waterfall, we will return to the school and commence our descent back to Juntas. This descent will take five to six hours, with a stop for a hamburger and views of Nevado del Tolima, which is over 5200 meters (17060 feet) high.

We will then return to the jeep for the journey back to Ibagué, arriving at approximately 5 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation at the rural inn of the El Salto School.
