Day Trip to Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve

Your adventure begins between 6:00 and 7:00 am when we collect you from your Ica hotel and head towards the El Chaco pier in Paracas.

Upon reaching this embarkation spot, we'll set sail on a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands. During our journey across the waters of the Pacific, keep an eye out for notable landmarks, including the renowned Candelabra, an intriguing geoglyph soaring almost 560 feet (170 meters).

This approximately two-hour voyage provides opportunities to observe a rich array of wildlife, featuring species such as Inca terns, boobies, seagulls, pelicans, red-legged cormorants, and turkey vultures. You'll also encounter Humboldt penguins and playful sea lions!

After our return to the El Chaco pier, you will have some free time for breakfast or a leisurely walk. We will then proceed to the Paracas National Reserve, where we will explore the magnificent viewpoints of La Catedral, Punta Santa María, and Playa Roja. We’ll pause at Lagunilla Beach for your lunch on your own, as well as visit La Mina Beach.

Our journey concludes around 4:30 pm when we arrive back in Ica.

Explore Paracas National Reserve by Minibuggy

If you prefer this choice, we will traverse the Paracas National Reserve in minibuggies, allowing you to drive through this exceptional landscape for two hours. Each minibuggy accommodates up to two individuals.

After the tour, you’ll have free time for lunch at El Chaco pier, after which we will pick you up to journey back to Ica at 4:30 pm.

Explore Paracas National Reserve by Quad

Paracas National Reserve will be done via quad for a duration of two hours. Please remember that you'll be responsible for driving the quad, which is designed for a single occupant. Children can ride along with parents but must be a minimum of 5 years old.

Pickup Information

The tour includes pickup from hotels located in central Ica. For those staying at hotels more distant from the city (such as Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, Hotel Bodega El Huarango, among others), we will arrange to meet you at Plaza de Armas in Ica.

Important Note: Minibuggy Usage

Please note that each minibuggy can fit two passengers. In cases of odd passenger numbers (3, 5, 7, etc.), an extra fee of 22.50 USD will be charged for the individual use of the vehicle, which must be settled on the day of the activity.
