Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve Day Trip

Between 6 and 7 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Ica and depart for the El Chaco pier in Paracas. Upon arrival, we will embark on a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, passing by landmarks such as the Candelabra, a geoglyph spanning nearly 560 feet (170 meters).

The boat voyage, lasting approximately two hours, will provide views of native wildlife, including Inca terns, boobies, seagulls, pelicans, red-legged cormorants, turkey vultures, Humboldt penguins, and sea lions. After returning to El Chaco pier, you will have free time for breakfast or a stroll before heading to the Paracas National Reserve. We will visit the viewpoints of La Catedral, Punta Santa María, and Playa Roja, and stop at Lagunilla Beach for lunch on your own, and at La Mina Beach.

We will return to Ica at 16:30.

Options

You can enhance your experience with the following options:

Paracas National Reserve by minibuggy

If chosen, this option includes a two-hour tour of the Paracas National Reserve on minibuggies, each accommodating two people. After the tour, enjoy free time for lunch at El Chaco pier before returning to Ica at 4:30 pm.

Paracas National Reserve by quad

This option follows the same itinerary but uses quads for a two-hour tour. Note that quads have a one-person capacity, though children ages 5 and older may ride with parents.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Ica. For hotels located outside the city (like Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, Hotel Bodega El Huarango), pickup will be at Plaza de Armas in Ica.
