Ballestas Islands, Tambo Colorado & Moron Lagoon Tour

On the excursion to the Ballestas Islands, Tambo Colorado, and the Moron Lagoon, participants will learn about the history of the Peruvian coast and ecological importance of these locations.

Pick-up from your hotel in Ica will be at 6:30 am, followed by a road trip to El Chaco dock in the bay of Paracas.

A boat will take participants to the Ballestas Islands for a panoramic tour, showcasing diverse fauna including colonies of sea lions and birds such as Humboldt penguins, waders, boobies, seagulls, and pelicans. The tour will also include a sighting of the Candelabro de Paracas, a geoglyph over 2500 years old.

After returning to Paracas, the next stop will be the archaeological site of Tambo Colorado, an important Inca settlement with adobe structures. The tour will cover its three sectors and the La Fortaleza remains.

Next, participants will visit the Morón Lagoon in the Humay district to enjoy free time for swimming, sandboarding, and lunch at local restaurants.

The excursion will conclude with a return to Ica, arriving at the Plaza de Armas between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Weather conditions
