Nazca, Ica & Paracas 3-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Ica - Huacachina Lagoon - Ica

Your adventure begins with a pickup from a predetermined location, either at your hotel or the bus terminal in Ica, to initiate this enriching 3-day exploration.

We will first head to the bustling center of Ica, where you will have the opportunity to take in the city's key highlights, including the Plaza de Armas and its magnificent Cathedral. Following this, a guided visit to the Regional Museum of Ica awaits, where you will discover the legacies of ancient cultures native to the region, including insights into the Paracas and Nazca civilizations.

Next, a visit to a local winery will allow you to delve into the art of Peruvian winemaking. You will sample a variety of exquisite pisco and wine crafted in Ica.

Our journey continues to the breathtaking Huacachina oasis, a true gem nestled amidst the desert. Here, we will take an exhilarating ride in buggies across the dunes, and for the adventurous, there's an option to try sandboarding.

After an exhilarating day, you'll be taken back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest and dinner at your leisure.

Day 2: Ica - Paracas - Ica

Following breakfast, we will pick you up for a trip to Paracas, where we’ll board a boat to explore the Ballestas Islands. Along the way, be on the lookout for the enigmatic El Candelabro geoglyph, an iconic figure carved into the sands of the peninsula.

As we navigate the Pacific waters towards the Ballestas Islands, you'll witness a rich array of marine wildlife, including guano birds and, with some luck, perhaps even Humboldt penguins. We will make a stop at the sea lion conservation center to gain further insights into these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

Once we return to Paracas, feel free to enjoy lunch before we continue with a guided tour of the Paracas National Reserve. During this scenic exploration, you will visit the Paracas Peninsula viewpoint and take in the beauty of Yumaque, Roja, and Lagunillas beaches.

The day concludes as we drop you off at your hotel, leaving your evening free for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Ica - Nazca - Ica

After breakfast, we set off for a journey to Nazca. Our first stop will be the Maria Reiche Museum, celebrating the efforts of the famous Lady of Nazca, who dedicated her life to studying the legendary geoglyphs of this extraordinary region.

Next, we'll head to the Maria Reiche viewpoint where breathtaking views of some of the most notable Nazca Lines, such as the Hand and the Tree, await. This vantage point offers a spectacular sight from above!

The day's exploration will also take us to the remarkable Cantalloc aqueducts, showcasing the sophisticated hydraulic engineering accomplished by the ancient Nazca peoples. Additionally, we will explore the ruins of Los Paredones, an archaeological site that narrates the life and culture of pre-Inca civilizations. Our final stop will be at a pottery and gold workshop, where you’ll observe the traditional craftsmanship involved in creating beautiful pieces.

We will conclude our journey in Ica around 4 PM.

Pickup Information

Your tour includes pickup from the Ica Bus Station or from hotels located in Cercado de Ica and its surrounding areas, the Huacachina Oasis, and Urbanización Puente Blanco. If you are residing elsewhere, we plan to meet at the designated time on Calle Las Palmeras.
