Embark on an archaeological journey through the Palpa Valley, where you will uncover magnificent geoglyphs, petroglyphs, and various other historical wonders that reveal over 5000 years of rich heritage.

Exploring the Palpa Archaeological Tour

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Ica at 7 am, leading you into the depths of the Palpa Valley, an area steeped in more than 5000 years of history.

The first highlight of our journey will be the ancient Huarango Milenario, a remarkable tree that stands tall for over 1000 years. Following this, we will travel to the district of Rio Grande, where you can marvel at the unique Perfil del Inca, a rock formation that reveals a stunning natural silhouette at the foothills of the Andes.

As we approach the town of Palpa, you'll spot the intriguing Solar Clock, a curious arrangement of lines and geoglyphs whose significance remains an enigma. Once we reach Palpa, we'll take time to explore its central square and the Museum of Palpa, home to a diverse collection of archaeological artifacts unearthed from pre-Inca settlements across the valley.

Following our Palpa visit, we will head eastward to unveil the petroglyphs of Chichictara and the remarkable geoglyphs associated with the Paracas Royal Family. These fascinating geometric designs, dating back thousands of years, are akin to the renowned Nazca lines.

Concluding this archaeological exploration, we will visit the picturesque La Máquina spring, formed by a geological fault that distinctively separates the valley's hills. Here, you'll have the opportunity to relax with some leisure time for a refreshing swim and enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants.

Our day wraps up with our return to Ica, expected between 5 pm and 6 pm.
