Icod de los Vinos Bee Farm Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Ecoalpispa bee farm, located in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos. The visit will start at the bee farm's museum, introducing the production stages of honey, from the hive to packaging.

We'll discuss Tenerife's typical vegetation and how the nectar from local flowers influences honey aromas. Afterward, we'll visit the workshop, the honey extraction room, and the laboratory, allowing time to browse the farm's shop.

At the tasting room, you'll sample several types of honey and learn about the protected Miel de Tenerife denomination of origin while enjoying the various tastes and aromas. The tour lasts an hour and a half.

Visit to the bee farm & beehives

To extend your experience at Ecoalpispa, a two and a half hour option includes honey tasting and museum access, plus an opportunity to get close to the hives and the bees. You will wear beekeeper suits to observe how bees are cared for and their daily activities in honey production.
