NAUI Open Water Diving Course in Ilhabela

This course can be completed in 4 consecutive days or spread over 2 weekends, allowing you to choose the structure that suits you best. The curriculum comprises both theoretical and practical components, each lasting 16 hours.

Day 1: Theoretical Learning

The initial session focuses on imparting fundamental concepts and essential knowledge every competent diver should possess. You may attend the theoretical classes online over 4 days (4 hours each day) or participate in person at the dive center in Ilhabela, condensing the learning into 1 day for in-person attendees.

Day 2: Skills Development in Confined Waters

Morning sessions will take place in the dive center's pool, where you will practice essential skills in a controlled environment. In the afternoon, a practical test will allow you to demonstrate what you've learned.

Days 3 & 4: Immersive Open Water Experiences

On day three, we transition to open water to apply your newfound knowledge, completing 2 dives at a depth of 59 ft (18 meters).

The fourth day features 2 additional dives. If the instructor assesses that you are prepared to dive independently, you will receive the esteemed NAUI Open Water international certificate. This certification enables you to dive worldwide without the need for a professional guide!
