NAUI Open Water Diving Course in Ilhabela

You can do the NAUI Open Water diving course in 4 consecutive days or split it up into 2 weekends. The training includes a theoretical and a practical part, each with a duration of 16 hours.

Day 1: Theory

The first day is dedicated to learning basic concepts necessary for a diver. You can attend the theory classes virtually for 4 days (4 hours per day) or in person at the dive center in Ilhabela, where everything will be taught in 1 day.

Day 2: Confined Waters Practice & Test

In the morning, practice will occur in the dive center's pool for confined waters. In the afternoon, you will demonstrate your skills in a practical test.

Days 3 & 4: Open Water Dives

On the third day, you will dive in the open water for 2 dives of 59 ft (18 meters) deep. On the fourth day, you will complete 2 more dives. If the instructor assesses that you are ready to dive independently, you will receive the NAUI Open Water international certificate, allowing you to dive anywhere in the world without needing a professional diver's accompaniment.
